Hugh Bayley MP

Hugh Bayley has been MP for City of York since 1992 and was Minister for Social Security between 1999-2001. He is a Chairman of Public Bill Committees. He is chair and founding member of the Africa All Party Parliamentary Group. He has been a member of the House of Commons’ International Development Select Committee since 2001.
He is a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Rapporteur of its Economic Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Relations.
Hugh Bayley is chair of the Labour Party’s backbench committee on international development, Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, a board member of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and Chairman of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
