Roberta Woodcock

Roberta is a Learning and Development professional, holding a post graduate Advanced Diploma in Training and Development from Cambridge University. She is also a fellow of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning and a Fellow of two international book-keeping institutes; the International Association and the Institute of Certified Book-keepers.

Roberta has undertaken consultancy work with a number of government departments, including the Passport Agency, OGCbuyingsolutions, DoH, Cabinet Office, FC&O, IPCC and SERCO, delivering finance training at all levels. She is a lecturer with CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) lecturing in Public Finance and Governance and Public Policy; and an associate with other training organisations.

Roberta spent four years with HM Treasury, during the introduction of Resource Accounting and Budgeting (RAB) she provided consultancy support and guidance to departments on the successful delivery of finance training Whilst with the Treasury, Roberta also undertook an original and extensive research project on the development, over the past forty years, of the role of accountants in central government.

Prior to joining the Treasury, Roberta worked for the Prison Service performing roles in finance system implementation, support and development and then as their financial training manager. Other spells in central government have been with the Property Services Agency as both international account supervisor and residuary accounts manager and previously a collector of taxes with the Inland Revenue.
