  • Understand the structure of the EU and its key Institutions
  • Understand the differing roles and responsibilities of the European Commission, the Council of Ministers and the Parliament
  • Understand the scope of the Commission`s work and its budget
  • Understand the work of ECOSOC, COREPER, UKREP and the Committee of the Regions
  • Learn about the legislative process in the EU and how the Institutions take decisions, make regulations and issue directives
  • Learn the key elements required for successfully negotiating with the EU
  • Understand which people are most important to speak to, and how to gain access and communicate with them
  • Learn how to communicate effectively with the key players in the EU Parliament, EU Commission & the Council of Ministers
